Hey DIYers!! I just finished a mod of my Apex 480 (replaced the capsule for the rk-47). Now when I plug it into my buddy's Neve 1081 there's quite a bit of noise. My bud told me the mic was "HOT" and that it is too sensitive. What does that mean? How do I fix it? Should I run the mic through a DI with a 15db pad? Or can the noise originate from the actual mic itself?
