I have one of these on bench for repair.  Is there such a thing as a component overlay for the circuit board ?

Think I asked this before about 5 years ago.  It's a real pita trying to work out which component is which !

i have a service manual that has a calibration trimmer location sketch. will that help? ill send it to your email.

I have had that happen before. iirc it was related to the dbx vca can. are they the original ones? make sure all the pins are making proper contact, might have a cold joint on one of the pins related to the vca cans

the problem is that it's clipping severely whatever signal level it's seeing.

In AUTO mode, or just manual? Manual mode is notoriously trashy.

the original 160VU doesn't have any of that. Just threshold, ratio, gain.

Blargh, sorry- I have one of each, and i still get confused my DBX's product naming. Sorry!
