SSL G Series Time & Date conundrum

Just got a call from a client w/ an 4056 G+ series running 4.01 G software, he can't enter the current date on the clock. He has done some experimenting, it will accept anything between 1979 and 2011, but not outside this range.
He did try setting the clock to 12/31/2011 @11:59PM and it does tick over to 2012, but still will not allow date entry with this year.
I have not yet been able to get on another one to try it out, has anyone else noticed this issue?

SSL? all kidding aside we had problems doing dates for 2011 with our older software on our g series, we sold the g series so the problem was fixed for us but not for whoever purchases our g series. call it a feature instead of a bug?
