Does anybody know more about these units? Are these the same as the 26U-1, but stereo? Does anybody have the schematics, or knows a source for them, or perhaps even a service manual?

Any information would be appreciated.

Regards Mic

Get in touch with Doug Williams (EMRR on here but I don't think he's been lurking around much recently. I know he's been crazy busy). He knows a lot about them, and when I asked them he said that they're as close to 2 26U-1's as you could possibly get in one box.

Personally I'd consider swapping my 2 26U-1's out for a 26U-2. Rack space is king around here :)

Thank you! Your website looks awesome btw.

Already send EMRR a message, but he hasn't answered yet.

Sixth from the bottom.....enjoy

Thanks Gary,

Got that one already, it's the U-1, one channel version. Actually looking for the original documentation on the U-2. But as somebody said the U-2 is more or less 2 U-1's, this one is probably pretty useful.

Same as the 26U-1, excepting PSU differences and a faster minimum release resistor.  The 26U manual covers everything you should need to service either.

Thanks a lot Doug!

Will see to it, perhaps post some pictures. These are pretty rare right? This is the only one I've ever seen, and can't even find a lot of pictures.

I see them reasonably frequently.  They may have only made one run when stereo FM launched in the USA, 1961 or so.
