No that wont work at all!!

Just kidding it will be fine,,Price will be 225 a piece. These arnt resold or skinned chinese knock offs. They are 100% machined and tuned by me in my home. The mylar was coated by a company here in Chicago. I will attach some pics to the thread soon,

I'm curious as to any differences between the k87 type capsule and the k67 type from a construction point of view.  Are there differences other than the backplate isolation?  Perhaps in the hole pattern or other dimensions?

Or is that too much secret sauce?

Atleast One for me please.

Hey all,

The 67 and 87 is pretty much the same backplates, the 87 just has special screws to keep the backplates isolated.

Pardon my ignorance, but have you built these before?  Has anyone tried one from you? ???  Is this the first time you're making capsules?    ???  Audio samples?  Tests?  Reviews?  Other details?

I believe that Dany is going to test one out and get back to us with his thoughts, along with another, in his u67 thread.

Why yes I have built these before, For Dany's 87 build. The 67 capsule is pretty much identical except for the backplates are isolated in the 87 and the 67 they arent. In fact I was one of the very lucky few that have built a pre prod Poctop u67 and have been tirelessly fine tuning my capsule in the actual u67 circuit. Its sounding fantastic! Later this evening I will be doing a bunch of sound samples along with a bunch of u67 build pictures. And yes Dany as well as Wave will be testing the capsule as well. So much more to come.

Well folks here we go,

So I have been lucky enough to be the very first Poctop u67 builder, Let me say a big thanks to Poctops tireless efforts the guy is truly a freak and deservers nothing but our admiration!! So as soon as I finished my 67 build I started work on tweaking my capsule. After a good week of effort I feel I have what I think is pretty close to the original sound of the Neumann k67 capsule. At least I think so, the clips that I have here are the first of multiple test recordings I have planned. More will be done with our friend Wave tomorrow!! The first is me playing guitar pretty badly  I am a drummer by trade! 312 pre amp in to my fireface at 24 bit 44.1. Second is my very nice wife. Same setup with a pop screen, the third is a voice over test I did again same 312 to fireface setup. I also have some build pics as well. Enjoy!!

Hey all,

I wanted to post some more sound samples of Poctops u67 with my capsule. This is the production capsule and I will soon be creating a white market thread to take orders. My approach tuning this capsule was with the 100pf feedback cap so it will allow the end user to tune the mic a bit further if they want it brighter or darker depending on their own taste. Please respond and let me know what you think. I am doing a limited first run. Here are some pics of a cap as well as our good friend Wave doing a bit of singing. These are two clips recorded at different times one is through a neve 9098 and the other an SSL 9k. Please let me know what you think...
