Well after some searching on Google, and reading a few threads on GroupDIY... I have not been able to find exactly what I am looking for..

Trying to find some info testing my VU Meter - I just bought it off ebay... Its a Weston 302 VU Meter... great condition

You guys have any suggestions for me on what all I should be doing to accurately test it?

There's no Light to it, so thats out of the equation...

Thanks for your help in advance as always  college101

Send a sinewave from your function generator at .775 volts. That should read 0dB. If it's slightly off, look for an adjustment screw to fine tune the zero point.

An easier way is to split a miniplug from your iPod, hook the shield up to the VU's minus terminal, and the other wire to the plus terminal. Gradually turn up the volume and watch the needle start to bounce.
