Ok, I just tried a 315 mA fuse and a 500 mA fuse, blew them both. I don't see anything shorting, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Are there any common issues that result in blown fuses?

Short or bad component (like a polarized cap) would be the most common thing.

Actually, shortly after that last post I realized I had bought fast-acting fuses on accident, so the 315 and 500's were fast. Oops. But I'll go out and get some of the correct ones tomorrow and give it a shot.

Update: Just used a 500 mA slow-blo fuse, and it stayed on for a minute, then the fuse blew. The meter didn't move. I guess the next step is to start checking components. Can I check the capacitors while they're still in the PCB? Or do they need to be taken out to test them?
