Burn baby burn!

Hello.
Now I did it!I built two nice board filled with all the goodies.BUT! AHHH!
It turned out that my 24vct was more like 50vct.......that smell....
I ended up with almoust 70v after the bridge.
I quickly realized the mistake and turned the thing off.On one of the boards the r89 resistor got fried.On the other no visble damage.
Now after finding the right transformer I wonder what parts to change.
I guess quite a few.
Any idea of were to start?

Get the RIGHT transformer, measure the AC output without the board (the factory may have mis-labeled the voltage or the primary connections).

Replace the burnt parts.

Take it outside on a flame-resistant surface with a long power cord, stand back, plug in.

If it don't smoke, let it cook for 3 minutes. Then UN-plug, and gingerly feel for hot parts. Cool? Smoke-test another 20 minutes to be surer.

Then put your DC voltmeter on and see if it is doing the right thing. It is quite possible the burnt resistor was all the damage, or you could have lost much more.

But yeah I like my fried resistors with mayo.
Thanks for chhering me up on such a sad day.
I belive my dual 1176 just needed to be burnt in to be able to reproduce the real vintage sound.
There is nothing like a well smoked studio and that goes for the inside of the gear as well.
