I've been looking for a place to buy a metal enclosure that looks like the older vintage boxes used for tube mic power supplies.

I can find several alternatives easily enough but I thought it would be fun to use the original form factor.

I found some info here:

but it seems like the link goes no where.

I found some at AMI Tab Funkenwerk but they are priced at $120. I am hoping for something priced similarly to the generic project boxes I have seen.

I have Greenlee punches and such so I am most interested in the shape and form rather than needing to find something pre punched.

Is there a good source for these boxes in USA?

Thanks.

I used a defunct uninterruptable power supply (UPS) for my power supply case. Since it was destined for the trash heap, it was free.
I just filled in the holes I didn't need, and re-drilled the ones I did. Add a cupboard handle to the top and viola. They can be a little big, but the power supplies of yesteryear were on the large side.

I purchased one of Dan's cases.

The quality greatly exceeded my hopes... and I didn't have to break out my Greenlee punches.

Thanks very much!
