Yup, quite an achievement all in all, folks. And he's such a modest guy.
We should be proud and grateful to have him here. Well, I'm pretty sure most are.
And I expect time will prove that this is actually bigger than many now realize.
Thanks, Dany!

Thanks guys, i tought i'd share the some pictures i gathered of  of those.

BRAVO!

...but I can't believe you are really "done"!  :)

I hope to be "done" after the C12, U67, M269, and M49 in progress...

Looks great. I hate to point it out, but I'm pretty sure the FET47's capsule is sitting further back in the saddle than I would think is correct. Is this intentional? If so, why?

That is  because i will be modifying the mount that is currently in use and wanted  to have a quick shoot before i start messing with it ,
Best,
DAn,

Good enough for me. I bet since it's cardioid-only it won't matter all that much... You might be able to tune the repsonse slightly by positioning the capsule slighlty forward or backwards in the sadddle.

On a different note, which do you find more useful the 67 or the 269c? Also are there any tonal discrepancies between the aforementioned mics, or are they interchangable sound-wise.? I only need one, and I can't decide which project to go ahead with. Thanks.

I am actually waiting for a real K67 capsule that i got off ebay if it still works i will make a side test with them ,
but most experienced that the M269C is more Hi-FI than the 67 it has a more shiny air in other words this is the impression i initially got also ,
will keep you posted as i have a lot to wrap up ( Day-Job  ) before i can get to that but i should have some time soon when i receive the capsule ,

a thread about that here ,

I think it's very hard to beat the thickness, meatiness and sheer musicality of a good EF86 in the U67 circuit, especially for vocals.
On the other hand, the EF86 is technically not perfect, it can be microphonic etc. A good Telefunken is very hifi sounding, though. Too clear for some, actually.
With the somewhat leaner and more open M269c you will win something and lose something at the same time. Such is life. But yes, the M269(c) is sought after and considered to be the über-U67.
Long story short, you should get both. I already have the D-67 and today I ordered the D-49. But I'm already sorry I didn't order the D-269 with it. Then again, that would mean I'd have to buy another body, another BeesNeez K6 etc. And I do have a wife.
Still .......

I got my (first) K6 today in the mail BTW.  :D

The ironic bit of it is that when Dany was working on the D-49 with 5840 tube, after he did the D-67, I asked him to combine the two achievements and make an M269 PCB, too. Which he did. And then I even urged him to add the -c version before his well-deserved break. Which he did. So in fact I should have been the first to buy it.  :-[
Today I was strong.
But I'm afraid resistance is futile.

It's not every day one sees a thread with so many project, and labeled finished.
Well done!
