Hi!
I just got two from eBay in full working order with a custom built psu. There's also been added an output transformer. They sound good but would be more useful if I could mod the, to cardoid? Hs anyone done this to these or similar circuits?

You would have to research capsule design to find out the differences between omni and cardioid capsules. Then, see if you can come up with a way to convert the capsule to cardioid. The side vents on the mics could be fortuitous towards your end goal.

The capsule design is like an m7. It's describes as a low quality M7 on a German site.
They are in fact already cardioid but very wide. Don't know why but the back membrane is not connected and still gives a very omni:ish sound. Somewhere in between omni and cardioid.
