Hi
I hope you get some help to get this sorted.  I'm in Leeds so I'd like to see the Yorkshireman win here !

I haven't built an 1176 yet, but plenty of other projects.

I usually find that any errors I have are down to :

1) Incorrect Input/Output wiring - check carefully - especially your grounding connections.
2) Incorrect component value somewhere in the build - recheck everything methodically - dedicate an evening to just checking everything and tell yourself there is no rush....you will get there eventually.
3) Cold/Bad solder joints -  Check for expected voltages at critical points in the circuit - where there is something unusual you can then home in on it. - I have had success looking for "dull" looking or grainy joints with a magnifying galss and a lamp.
4) If you / friends have any test equipment try tracing the signal through and see where there is a problem - loads on the net on ways to do this.

I'm sure someone experienced with the 1176 will be along to help.  Sorry I cant be more help.
Check all the support / build threads for advice.

Cheers
PeteC
