This might be a long question...

These are my readings on the IC-sockets (5532) without IC:

Left IC:
1: 0
2: 15.15
3: 12.43
4: -15.4
5: 12.43
6: 15.15
7: -0.04
8: 15.16
Middle IC:
1: -0.03
2: -0.03
3: 0
4: -15.4
5: 0
6: 0.06
7: 0.06
8: 15.17
Right IC:
1: 0.01
2: 0
3: 0
4: -15.4
5: 0
6: 0
7: 0
8: 15.17

Would this be of any concern?

I got,
48.1
-15.3
0
15.17
from the psu and i find that acceptable.

All the leds light up as soon as i power up the unit but that might be normal when the LM 339 aint fitted, or?

There is no mark on my LM339 pointing out where pin 1 is. I know there use to be a mark or a point but not on thees things. Can i use the text on the IC to orient it?

Hi Tom

I dont have the voltage chart with me right now, but what is your concern here?

As far as I remember, thats normal.

Can i use the text on the IC to orient it?

I've just had a quick look at a bunch of chips from various manufacturers & when reading the text on the chip, pin 1 is bottom left.

Some of the measurements don't match yours, thats why i asked.

Thanks!

The voltages are pretty close. If you look at my sample votages, you'll see that my supply was +14.8, 0, -15.2 at the time. That accounts for the slight +V differences. The others are in the region of .1v which is not an issue at all.

Peter
