I have an EQ that uses an 18 volts plug in power adaptor and consistently remains on.

I am thinking of adding a power switch to it. The power adaptor supplies power to the EQ using a black and black/white wire which I am presuming is + and -.

Is it better to get a switch that cuts off both + and - or should I just get a switch that cuts of the + or it does not matter??

Thanks

Put a switch on the *230VAC* side. (You really don't want wall-warts powered-up ALL the time if you don't need them.)

By far the best/easiest way to do this is a switched power strip.

Oh yeah you are right PRR. The power adaptor would be on all the time.

I do have a power board with switches connected but it's to hard to reach behind. May need an extension cable.

Thanks mate!
