Yeah, there's something like 2mm clearance on top.

I've made everything (except the modules of course). Interface board was quite an adventure to figure out

I'm sure the modules have better heat dissipation so they won't kill caps like in the consoles.

Exactly! The EQ module is especially hot. the PCB feels like 50-60C, so the chips are even hotter. Line output chips are cooking pretty hot as well.

Interesting. what voltages are you running it at?

I'm feeding them +/-16V as per schematic.

Well done on your project.
We also found that off setting the pot line ups at 11 o'clock is a suitable compromise when the modules are rotated 90 degrees.
