SPX 900 Low Battery Warning After New Battery?

I've recently cleaned and fixed up a Yamaha SPX 900, working perfectly now.

I replaced the dead battery with a socket and a brand new battery...but I'm still getting the "low battery" warning on power up. I've already done the memory reset by following this procedure: http://faq.yamaha.com/us/en/article/live_sound/processors/spx900/2609/4035/spx900_the_reset_procedure

I'm still getting the "low battery"...I've measured 3.3v from the battery in circuit.

Is there something I'm missing?

Check that you didn't disturb a PCB connection when you added the socket.

There may be a sense connection that reads the battery status at start up...  or not.. just a guess.
