Incredibly talented and influential musician. Frank Zappa had some amazing keyboard players, and George was in a class by himself. I saw him perform with Frank, Stanley Clarke, Billy Cobham, and his own band.
Way too talented to stay in one genre.

I was just thinking yesterday about his work on One Size Fits All--for my tastes, far and away the best Zappa album post-Hot Rats.  Inca Roads is terrific.

So sad, he was one of my favorites, a very influential musician.  Love his pocket, so cool...  Dukey-Stick, and other great projects.  God Bless him,

I've listened to his music on a daily basis for as long as I can remember. Hugely influential to many musicians I respect. The term 'legend' is so overused these days, but in Duke's case it's more than justified. Really sad news...  :'(
