Hello,
I just found this.  http://www.verelec.nl/?page_id=90  .A nice Coilwinder for small Transformer, made with Parts printed with a 3D Printer. All needed Files are shared. It s designed by a Dutch Guy called Nico Verduin. Maybe it s interesting. What do You Think about it ? I try to get into the 3D Printing Technology but I am a totally Beginner ,but this could be a Reason to get more into it.
Greetings,
Lothar

I was looking at this too. I actually work at a 3D printing studio with all kinds of crazy pro level machines. Most of our work is done focused on colour printing art pieces, but we have a few machines that are simpler/ more utilitarian. My job is to repair/maintain the printers and whenever we get a new type to run it through it's paces to see what it's capable of so that our salesmen can sell them effectively.
I'm going to run these files through a few different printers to see how they turn out in between customer orders. I should have something to show within a few days.

That s great news!
Maybee we can put a nice Tool together. Please tell us how it worked out.
Do You print Metall as well ?
Since i know about 3 D printing I thought about if it s possible and precise enough to print Backplates for Capsules.
Thank s
Greetings
Lothar.

No, unfortunately our studio does not print metal. There is a facility I am well acquainted with where I installed a few machines that does have the capability to print in metal if thats necessary.

After examining the STL files, I think the best way to do this is ABS plastic, we have a few Fortus machines that print really nicely. I would be willing to run off a set to you (or anyone else) in exchange for some help developing the code. Apparently the author gave up on the programming.

Ive never examined mic capsules in person, could you post a picture of what you are talking about specifically? We have some extremely high end 3d scanners, as well as a plastic printer which can print very durable parts at extremely high tolerances. If someone would be interested, the could loan me a part for scanning and I could see what I can come up with.

I just found this project http://likealaugh.org/mrcontent/2014/1396517401faiAragornatStarbucks.jpg

there is a software called gcoil that is used among mach3 I haven`t tried it yet but I think it is the way to go.

Alright, so I loaded files into our Fortus 260 machine. The estimated time is approx 26 hours, haha. IBy the weekend, the parts will be ready!
