Order placed!
About the davies 4107 knobs, i don't know if you can eventually do anything about it or not, i find the shaft whole too small for the standards 1/4 inch pots i use in all my projects. I just use a dremel to open the shaft whole, beside that the knobs are great, i'll be  using around 10 or them for my ez tube mixer. It gives me the look and feel of vintage knobs at a price i like!

Pierre

In the Single Bottle Preamp PCB description, it says the board can be used to build a " microphone preamplifier utilizing one 12AU7 (ECC82)," but I don't see that schematic in the manual (just "Tomato," "Real McTube," and "12AX7 Preamp"). Is there a schematic for this? What's it based on? Are there associated transformers?

Also, it would be great to have a kit like JLM's "go between" kit with phantom, pad, and polarity. You could add a variable hi-pass and make it really awesome.

I meant NY one bottle pre when saying "mic preamp". Think about it as a simple cascade based on triodes with plate load.
First of all it's guitar/bass preamp. But you can add a transformer, use 12au7 - and you can try to build mic preamp.

I've thought about little kits like go between. I think we'll make something similar, but at a lower price. :)
