I supose if you remove the feedback [R10,R11,C2] , the DC servo and the input circuit [R8,R9,C1] you have a great buffered opamp. Maybe it is doable in a 990 footprint.

I'd really like to see a greater 'base spread' across D1,D2,D3 and (inexplicably) D5. -As is is, it looks like there might be a bit of crossover distortion...?

Inserting a trim pot in there might allow the quiescent current through the output transistors to be trimmable to a greater degree... or at least a bit of series resistance...
