I just stumbled across this indiegogo project:
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/axoloti-a-digital-audio-platform-for-makers
An audio ADC/DAC board with DSP processing capabilities.
It looks like a nice board to start into audio DSP. You can configure your system on your computer and upload it in the board to play with. There is also MIDI possibilities in order to interface and edit without your computer.
The software allows to create synth and other projects, including studio effects...

Do you find it interesting? What kind of device would you imagine for this?

Hi,

maybe I'm wrong but I don't see a DSP on that board only a MC.
If there is no DSP you are a little bit limited.
IMHO if you really want to start with DSP I recommend the sigmaDSP platform of Analog Devices (the cheap eval-boards) or the minidsp stuff (based on the same DSP).

R.
