Hey guys. I've the convenience of my last job with it's fully registered version of OrCAD 9.2

It's time I get my hands on some good software. I'd like something that can do it all (capture, simulation, and layout), but I'd settle for just a good simulation package now.

Circuitmaker seems like the most affordable choice at 1000$

Any suggestions? I've always just used company and school software, which were pretty expensive packages.

I know that Protel is a fully integrated CAD software, you can do nearly everything with it. But it may be a bit "heavy" for beginners, and it isn't free at all.

I'm currently "playing" with the latest Multisim 8 which is quiet good to me, more especially this kind of funny things:

(that really works !! )

I just started using the free OrCAD demo version. It's been good enough for me, but since you're used to the full version, it may be too limited.
