Where can i find enclosure w/ fold-down front-panels.. i made swing hinges in metal-shop from scratch where we took a hollow rod & dowel of copper and made a hinged box.. my GOD was that a lot of work for just a tine 2mm-2mm-2mm box piece!  I made all my faceplates by hand of aluminum as I'm too cheap to buy them.. however i think this will SOON change as I'm spanned 10x-30x the man-hours than it costs to buy such enclosures.  since i have never bought a single enclosure except for the enclosure Hairball 1176, it looked good, bit errr, erector-ish for my style, i like big, thick panels, the enclosures RETRO use seem nice, kinda like the original Pultec or LA2A gear... & those front-folding faces .... oh god would i die to build on/in those babies, how nice to just thumbscrew the from panels open while the gear is still racked -- SOMEBODY THROW ME A BONE BABY! ;D :p lol

thnx guys:]

. : thanks for your guys' input:]

Not many takers! No-way! ..crazy... I've heard the Purshura name mentioned before, i did a search once on this ,, mmm, couple weeks/months ago,, ended in a dead-end, 404-link, etc... well, if ANYBODY knows where i can find them, oh-man would i love to switch all my builds over to them, or at the very least use them for all my builds from here on out -- would be about the only enclosure i would feel confident consistently using... i mean man, how can you deny that look +build quality.. i am into HEAVY-DUTY & Easily accessible -- that faceplate folding down is about the smartest (& best looking) design i have ever seen in any rack-mountable gear... Period! :')

thanks guys, hope someone can help -- still looking in to Purusha (though i thought it was a person and not a website/ make/ or company ;)

See rainton's thread.  Don't you guys dilute the pool and run competing blank chassis programs, none of which separately generate enough interest.  Pool together, sign non-competes, whatever it takes.  This has launched and crashed multiple times over the years for lack of sufficient interest.

Weiss,
I'm going my own route with these cases - I've been designing custom cases for a while now, and It's time to offer these Beauties to the Forum. I havent had a price back yet from the metalwork guy, but as soon as I have, I'll post it.

Best,
Steve

I have used piano hinge to make flip top panels for mixers, and it works great and looks good and is cheap…
