Hi,
I know this might be a long shot, but..

I have a Soundcraft 6000 board that is functioning perfectly.
I LOVE the pre amps and eq's, and use it as a summing mixer.
The only thing i dislike, is the huge size of this beast.

So the thought struck me, why dont either 1. take the modules out and fit them in 2 racks on weels (this would clear up alot of space), or 2. make 12-16 500ish modules out of  it and sell the rest of the components.

I have basic understanding of electronics and decent soldering skills :/
But luckily i have great help from people around me.

Is there anyone who has done anything similar on this? or someone that could explain the process?

The board is modular, so im hoping it would be as easy as to remove the modules, make a casing, drill holes for line in/out + xlr in and solve the powerissue.
I dont need any of the group channels, nor any stereo out or any other features, just the preamp + eq strip.

Heres a link to schematics: http://www.crystalclearrecording.com/downloads/soundCraft/

Thanks in advance for any help i could get:)

It´s not a challenge. It´s more a question of money and if it´s worth to you spending it on these channels just for the sake of saving 0,5-1sqm of space.
