Hi All,

I'm racking up a few modules and have a 5U front panel designed in Front Panel Express.

I'm struggling to understand how to get an enclosure to go with it.

It doesn't need to be near 40/45cm deep at all - I can easily make do with 30cm.

I do want to put iec power and xlr plugs on the back.

I selected system standard holes for rack screws and enclosure attachment in FPE and have them in the drawing (Fischer & Schroff are the 2 options in there ). Checked both their sites and the cases seem overkill for a basic enclosure.

Can any one recommend the smartest option for an enclosure to match the front panel ?

Thanks,

NHNS.

Where are you located? I use par metal.

I dont think it matters a lot who you use as long as you align the front panel screw holes properly.

For the xlr and iec inlet you may need have it milled or you can drill and cut them yourselves.

I use Schaeffer for my front panels and always choose no system holes because i get cases near home and i drill them myself
