Hi Group

I'm wanting to build some line level switches using FETs or maybe
a DIP package to switch between 2 line level signals. Anybody have
a favorite FET or commerical part you like. Quality (noise/distortion)
is the major concern and of course reliability. They also need to come up
in a default position when powered up and toggle between positions.
Any ideas.

For another idea check out this:

Its an overview of optocoupler methods. With whatever method you use, there will have to be some amount of logic to make it work.

Of course there is the relay method.

Electronics World had a nice two-part article from Douglas Self on this subject. No idea if it made it to his website yet. The articles were in the Jan & Feb 2004 issues.
