Oh, thanks for noting this out! I missed it.

Moreover, Bword ADA8000 is well discussed in GDIY forums and is regarded by some as a pretty good and simple implementation of an ADA, with realtively no need of audio upgrades. a rare case of Bword very good bang for the bucks. Many point out that their power supply is flaky though,

Thanks for posting this.

It looks like it works both for recording AND playback (USB <-> ADAT), which is good news!

They state: "Multichannel (up to 8) @ 48/44.1kHz for ADAT Transmit/Receive"
and the pdf-files confirm this.

Wondering why Behringer didn't add USB-connectivity (and also some other often-discussed stuff) to the updated model (ADA8200).

Because multichannel USB is not simple and would add to the cost. It also makes it into an "interface" as opposed to an "expander."

Sometimes, all you need is the expander.

Hi,

Must admit that the update from the 8000 to the 8200 is a bit disappointing; imho they could have addressed more of the pretty well known wish-list items. But they'll have done the math.
