Also the favorable DI at Motown as per Bob Olhson source (Motown Mastering Engineer) was an UTC A20 transformer connected backwards, Bob says that in a couple of threads on the internet, he also told me about that when I met him in Nashville in 2012.

Just would like to rectify something I wrote in this thread in the past as I don't want to lead anyone into mistake.

Some years ago I've read some threads where Bob Ohlsson (Motown Mastering Engineer) said that the DI boxes used in Motown used an UTC A20 transformer (actually just the transformer) , after some time I actually had the pleasure to meet in Nashville and he told me the same.

It seems that probably his memory might have been blurred or that he made confusion with the numbers and it seems that in later posts it was rectified to an UTC A-10.

check this threads out:

https://www.gearslutz.com/board/so-much-gear-so-little-time/962262-paging-bob-ohlsson-motown-bass-di.html

also in the last thread there is a poster which might have a DI box from Motown, might be true might be a rumor, and the insides show that it has an UTC A-11.  If that box is from Motown it might be LA and not Detroit studios.

So I don't know if this matters or not, I really just don't want to give false information and this came to my attention today.
Sorry for this
