Sorry, but i am very unsure about the right transformer for my G9 Preamp.
i have bought all four oep transformers (input, output),
because i thought that they are good enough for this project.
And also the good price was an argument.
But now i have heard many times that one transformer(i think it was the input transformers) from oep
are very bad and not good enough.

It is better to buy new inputs from
lundahl? Is this realy a big
difference or is it esoteric?

thanx,
dave

Jakob, I think he wants to know which OEP is the bad one.

Dave,
It is the A262A3E [1+1:6.45+6.45] that is good. As Jakob sugested long ago the A262A1E [6.3+6.3:1+1] is the one you should avoid.

i have bought the OEP A262-A3E input, and the OEP A262-A2E output.

thanks chrissugar, so the input is good.

It seems the A1E is an older one and
i hope the A2E is better.

Okay, if jacop says it´s great i am
calmed down :)

Both are good, the OEP A262-A3E for input and the OEP A262-A2E for output.
I use them for a diferent preamp and I'm very happy with the sound.

I have a G9 with OEP's on both outputs, & a Lundahl on one channel, OEP on the other. The OEP channel gets used more than the Lundahl...

My unit has OEP's all round & I love it.

The OEP's will not disappoint you .

Regards
Peter

I have seen here a API-like micpre with OEPS in both in and outs, Melcor as opamp.
The guy liked it IIRC.
