Samson mic with USB out

This summer (if it ever comes) Samson will launch a condenser mic with a built in A/D converter and USB output, for 69 UKP. I guess there will follow other models. So, a laptop and a mic and away you go, mobile recording made even easier.

I saw an announcement of Behringer: a stereo tube mic with integrated CD/DVD-burner for US$10 :thumb:

But serious, that Samson will sure have its uses.

As I already said in the other thread: I wouldn't know how to use it in conjuction with DAW software. When you switch to the microphone's driver, you won't have a DAW return channel anymore. The singer has no playback to sing to....
