I currently have a .wav of a microphone recording that I need to calculate the signal to noise and self noise of the microphone (or recording chain as a whole). I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me how to calculate it. In the jobs section I'm also going to offer a fee to have it professionally analysed with a report.

The trouble with a wav file is that there is no absolute level reference.  If there is some signal there then you could possibly determine the signal to noise ratio by feeding it into an FFT but you still have only a relative measurement. Normally you would measure noise rather than calculate it from a recording.

Cheers

Ian
