I just finished 2 hairball 1176 rev.D , and have the same problem on each.
The preamp is working fine, the output pot respond correctly. I can make the first step of calibration (Qbias), and the second (null adj.), but it seems that the bypass (on the attack pot) does not affect the signal, there is no way to compress the signal, just to control input and output. When i try to make the compression section active, the level of the signal does not change..
What can i check first ?... I replaced the bourns trimmers of distortion with 56or resistors, is it wrong to do that ?
