Green pre PSU problems - NIGHT eq

Hi Guys,

I'm finally finishing my Night EQ3D. My psu worked for 3 minutes, I measured +/- 16v and 2 caps popped 2 minutes later.

Any tips where I should start?

Your caps are have too low a voltage rating. The 1000uf caps should be 25v or more.

The voltage rating is like a safety net, you can use caps rated at higher than 25v but not less.

We learned that 10V rated caps don't like to receive more than 10v!!!!!

Actually the ones after the regulators that received 16v managed to not blow straight away, they would stress in the future.
The ones that blew were the ones after the BR and before the regulators, the voltage there is higher for sure, something between 17,5V and 30V depending on the transformer you used .

I always use caps rated aprox. 2x higher than the voltage they will see, do I would use 50V after the BR and 35V after the regulators
