This is such a great group, so I thought I'd share a couple of pics of one of the dual-1176s I built with all the help I've received here.

All total, I built two duals with the above configuration (Lundahl OT, IC input) and two singles with Lundahls in and out. I'm planning to perhaps add some OEP input transformers to one of the dual units just to give me more tones to choose from. I also might just sell or trade one of the dual units because perhaps I got carried away with this project!

Those look nice! Good job.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing but wondering whether to use 2 transformers...

Is one transformer good to power both 1176's?

Is crosstalk an issue?

The transformer I used is more than up for the task of powering two units, and I haven't noticed any problems with crosstalk. Both channels are as quiet as my single-channel boxes.

Thanks for the kind words, guys.
So this is just two 1176's sharing the PSU and case correct, no stereo?
Yes. I plan to try the stereo connect setup (joining the two "7" connections), but haven't wired it in yet. From the reports here, I gather this works just fine.

speaking of OEP's - I just put together my 2nd dually and used em on the outputs - sounds mighty mighty indeed  :thumb:
