For information sake to fellow members, the NEUMANN K87 replacement capsule
which is sold through SENNHEISER PRO SPARES (spares.sennheiser.co.uk) is by far and without a doubt!
the finest capsule available for large diaphragm mic builds. I do not work or affiliate myself with them,
however! I have been using their replacement capsules since the mid 1970’s on my custom builds with
great success based on their superior (reliable) quality sound results. I do not sell on forums, having carved
out a small and steady niche, I have no need to advertise (word of mouth can go along way), which gives me
plenty of room to travel down an explore many paths at my leisure, without the burden of typical business practices.
