Hey guys, I'm a complete noob to metal work but I'm looking to have some done. I need advice on how to go about it. I looking for roughly 18 gauge steel or aluminum cut to size and bent a couple of times to make a U shape with some ears on the edges(metal forming I assume?), then a few holes drilled and tapped and a small hole cut. I've laid out my design in sketchup and I am hoping to find a fabricator that can do prototyping and small affordable runs, but I have no idea where to start looking. I need 6 identical pieces for a prototype to start with. Can anybody tell me what I need to know and where/what to look for. I'm in Southern California if that matters.
