If you check out the forum on seventh circles site, there's a smaple of a blugrass tune there somewhere. It is a very nice pre from what i've heard, but it's quite a bit cheaper to make you own, Fabio Bauman has the boards.
Has anyone heard the Seventh Circle N72?
yes, I have a pair. they are nice.
How does it compare to the real deal?
why should this matter? They sound different because they are different. If you want the real deal go get the real deal. They sound much better than the vintech crap which uses the same transformers. Thats a much better comparison to make if you must compare things.

This has been discussed here a number of times and on the old forum as well, if I'm not mistaken. Try the Tape Op messageboard too. They have some threads over there comparing it to BAE and Vintech.

Here's one example: http://www.groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=2987

and another: http://www.groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=2484&highlight=n72

Just search for N72 at this forum or another. As mentioned, it's not too hard to build your own from scratch since so many people have done the exact same thing and PCBs are available. In the fully assembled 2-channel unit category there is also Dan Alexander Class A for $1279.
