So, how does this schematic look? Any suggestions?

What power supply and transformer makes sense?

Best,
N

Why do you keep changing the schematic and repeatedly asking the same questions?
Didn't we give you the answers in the past 8 threads you created?

It doesn't matter what kind of output it has now, the circuit still asks for the same supply (is the +/-15V and +48V written in the schematic not that obvious and make no sense?)

A friendly advice. If you choose not to listen, or trolling, we will ignore you.

I'm really sorry - did not mean to make anybody upset.

I am 16 and this is my first "real" project. Before I order any parts I want to make sure what I am doing is completely correct. I have listened and am constantly making changes.

I hope you understand these circumstances....

Best,
Noah

Hi Noah,

All respect for trying to be correct in theory first - but you really need to just build stuff in order to get the feel for it.

And don't worry about being wrong or burning up stuff - it's all part of the learning process.

I'd recommend you getting hold of a breadboard, the chips in question, a decent supply of passive support components (resistors, poly- ceramic- and electrolytic capacitors) and just work it out irl from there. Places like banggood has some very inexpensive assortment kits that covers most experimentation.

The reluctance to answer your questions here probably comes from them being to some degree self-evident if you actually build in stead of just theorize.

You should probably stick to this thread for now, and only open new threads when problems of a different nature and/or in different projects occurs.

Respect to a "youngster" getting started in DIY building.  As Jakob mentioned, dive in and "get your hands dirty".

When I was age 16 and the earth's crust was still cooling <g>, I was building fuzz stomp boxes for my musician friends!

Hello Noah,
like Jakob told don't open more threads, you can ask you questions here, and improve a design as you go along but keep the project all inside one thread only.

You are 16 years old it's great you are doing mic preamp, I'm sure we all will try to help you but it's hard when you ask the same questions in 8 different threads.

So first thing, keep to this thread only.

Second thing, you're basing your design on a datasheet, thats  great. I guarantee you that if you build a circuit exactly like it is in the datasheet it will work, so you dont need to be insecure about that, just do it.
If a circuit can be improved from the datasheet example? well it depends on the needs, but sure.
Read the explanations in the datasheet and if you have doubts after the reading ask questions.

third, where are you located?
that can be helpful to know in order to recommend you places to buy stuff

Do you have a already a PSU board?
if not send me a PM with your address and I will send you an SSL 9K PSU pcb that you can use for your project

forth, for Balancing output you can use the THAT Corp 1646 chip, it has built in short circuit and phantom power protection so it's quite easy and simple to use

Thank you for the reply  :)

I am in NY. I think I figured out a more effective circuit, will post soon.

Best,
N
