Since it;s not really PM670/M670 related I tought i'd post it here.
On the output of my modded PM670 I used a cinemag CML600/10, just like on the input.
On the input it made quite a big difference on the sound and distortion, finally the lowend stayed intact.
But when I replaced the edcor on the output with the cinemag, I got a LOT of strange/extreme crossover distortion, but just on the lows from 20 > 70/80hz. Above that, it's clean, no distortion at all. When I returned to the edcor all was fine.
When I lowered the voltage with rv3 to something like 2v, the distortion was less, at least, it was still there at 20hz, but it was gone after 50/60hz.
What could cause this? Saturation of the transformer? input gain, time constant or threshold didn't matter.
