What permanent marker to write Serial Number on PCB?

Hi,

what brand of permanent marker do you use to write on PCB? It's to write serial numbers. Someone recommended me Cryogenic Markers because they're alcohol and water resistant. It's what they use in chemistry labs.

If you dont want it removable, as above, the only real way is to cut into the surface, otherwise there will always be one solvent or other that will remove the details.

If its just to protect against general use, rather than some sort of fraud issues, then what about some of that "brother" (tm) printable tape stuff.  Sure, someone could just peel it off, but if its gets light solvent, the numbers wont come off.
