"supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"

"it has a little dent"

Should I be concerned about my package now?

I guess, so although the box looked fine..
well, I look what I can do with a needle

I'd try pushing with a finger from the inside of the headbasket first. With some gentle force you can maybe shape things back to normal. Hope it works!

I already started to build the 'inside'!  ;D
Next on my wish list is a swivel mount...
(And Binder connectors, I ordered (and paid!) them two weeks ago from https://www.musikerkabel.de, but still nothing!
Usually it takes no longer than two days to ship something from Germany to the Netherlands.
And they don't respond to my emails. Strange... )

Oh sorry for my tip with musikerkabel, i haven't ordered items from this side yet. Maybe the cheapest site is not the best idea. Hope he response soon.
The guy at voxorama.de have many binder, amphenol and tuchel connectors in stock. Mail him for the price.
Bürklin in germany have the quickest service, but the price is a little bit higher.
I have found 7pin connector for the bottom part on the mic for 7,95 per item on ebay, but mostly from private persons.
Hope this helps a bit.

I ordered the binder connectors there and got them today, seems to work. But didnt exchange any mails with them.

Best regards,
Mathias

I just mailed them (=musikerkabel.de) again through the mail form on their website.
They confirmed my order but it is yet unclear why my order wasn't processed. They will let me know.
My Paypal payment was received, they said.

i got my bodies today. one word: amazing!

i'm deeply impressed by the quality of these. flawless.

is anyone else looking into applying a jewel to these? any hints?

Yeah, I also thought about that and searched a bit but found nothing... I even asked Aputis if he could give me the supplier of the jewels for his M49 but they are special made for him.

The closest thing was this, but it is not a smooth jewel...

Very easy to do with the right tooling!

A machine shop can do the work on the body cleanly and accurately in a few minutes. You'll just need to decide on the size of the jewel you want first – not sure, but the Neumann one is maybe 10mm?

Step 1: Using 10mm as an example, buy a bezel cup of 10mm ID to hold the jewel. It will probably have a 12mm OD.
Step 2: Verify the OD of the cup, and drill into the body with a 12mm drill-bit. But you don't want to fully pierce through the tube like a normal hole. You want to drill just enough to create a 12mm diameter flat surface to glue the bezel in place. This will re-create that original flush finish.

For bezel cups and jewels, you can find everything you need on Etsy. Let me know if you need a link for the cups, and search for jewels under 'round cabochon'.

Hi,
I have measured the jewel and it´s 10mm plus the metal frame goes to 12mm.

theres a few options:

this is on the easy side of things, just have to get the right sizes, or you can get the flatback pearl and machine the frames etc...

My concern is the tube and transformer options, that dam AC701k

Here's another good link for the bezel cups:

Sizes listed are ID (buy 10mm version for 10mm jewel)

Received my pair in California today, and they look great!  Still have to order my binder connectors, so bit of a delay here before I start putting them together...

Thanks again!!

Will have to finish some other projects first but can't wait to build these beauties  ;D
Thanks alot Banzai!

I just found these in a very old junkbox, in red and white...
Outer diameter 9 mm.
I think one of them may look nice. (After cleaning them...)
