capacitor settlement

I just received a legal notice about a $15M settlement against a handful of japanese(?) capacitor companies for price fixing film and electrolytic capacitors since 2002.

Looks like the lawyers will carve out around $2.5M for their effort.

Yawn...

I got that yesterday as well. 

I  also got a notice yesterday.
Probably anybody on this site who's ever ordered from Mouser of Digikey has gotten Caps.
It just depends on how many.
The lawyers are the ones who will get the majority of the money.

I got one too - when I saw "capacitor settlement" I thought it must be something to do with the capacitor plague that started around 2000, but no, it's about price fixing. I've ordered caps several times from Digikey in the past 15 years, but it I can't imagine I've spent more than a total of  $50 on capacitors.
