Hi,

Well I am not an expert in this theme and this could look like a stupid question:

I am in the acoustic measurement process and I have a old Presonus Digimax ADAT Audio OUT by Lightpipe only at all and I would like to get an advise in order to know if Do exist a way to connect this Interface to my Mabook Pro Retina??....do exist a especial adapter (or device) for that ??....I need to be able to do some acoustics measurements around the room under test and this can be low cost now for me if I can use this interface.

Any comment will be appreciate so much!
Thanks
Opacheco.

Sorry, you're out of luck.

The Presonus only has ADAT out and the MB Pro only spdif in. One is 8 channels and the other is only 2.

The only interconnect is an audio interface with ADAT io.

Why do you want ADAT? ADAT is convenient when you need 8 channels and fiber connection. Any decent USB interface will be adequate for acoustic measurements.

you need a "Soundcard or Audio Interface"
what you have is "8 Microphone Preamps with 8 Analog to Digital converters"

Get an USB Sound card, 2 Ins Line or Mic and 2 Line outputs

Price starts at 33€ with only 1 Mic Pre, 16bits 48khz
https://www.thomann.de/gb/behringer_u_phoria_um2.htm

Better is 2 Mic Pres and 24Bits 192khz, price starts at 66€
https://www.thomann.de/gb/behringer_u_phoria_umc202hd.htm

theres loads of options in the market in terms of Audio Interfaces/USB Soundcards

As for microphones, well I tested the measurements of this microphone against Bruel and Kjaer, Earthworks and Beyer Dynamic measurement microphones and the results were exactly the same:
