Maybe even better if you broke it in for a few days?  8)

I really need to buy a new tip (and possibly the heater two, they're stuck together) for the OKI at work.  Starting to get a little misshapen.

I just treated myself to a new soldering station. The one I had been using was not as good as I woud have wanted. Ihave gone back to a make I used many moons ago, Antex. They still look and feel the same and solder just great. I even found some Ersin Multicore solder ..... mmmmmm I love the smell of that flux.

My old faithful Xytronic solder/desoldering station also packed up a couple of weeks ago after 8 or so years: it was a great piece of kit so I bought another but updated model (LF-8800) from Germany for about 2/3 the price of my first one and half the price of the Evilbay'r.

Again a simple but effective piece of equipment if you are doing a lot of pcb work.  If anyone buys one of these I reccommend the hot air gun to go with it.

Cheers

Mike
