Cartec EQP1-A alignement problèm
« on: June 16, 2017, 06:32:33 AM »
Hi GroupDIY !
I'm starting a new to pic here about my cartec EQP1-A

I had issues with knobs. The course were getting bad and sometimes for The same setup, one low BOOST was at 2 on The L Channel, and at 5 in The R channel.

So I have change The Know with some P11, really happy with The résultats.
Buy here is my problem :

On The low and high end (I mean, where frequency are ajustables) everything are fine. BUT between 1K5 and 2K, I have à lost of 1/2 db on my right Channel.
Any ideas where It can come from?

Many thanks in advance
Cheers !

When you say you have lost 1/2 dB do you mean at maximum boost or maximum cut or something else?

When The eq is in "IN" mode, buy with no BOOST nor attenuation, there is between 2k and 6k an attenuation of 0.5-1db on one of The unit..!

Bypass the HF boost pot with a clip lead and see what happens.

I expect hat will boost everything by about 20dB - is that what you expected?

With all bosst and cut OFF the EQ should be purely resistive and it should be ruler flat. A half dB loss between 2K and 6K is very odd.
