Should very low frequencies can benefit of a low impedance transformer ?

My idea seems to me only applicable with the zero field transformers, beacuse the higher is the current, the higher is the distortion with traditional transformers (intensity aggravate the transformer core flux non- linearities)
I have the idea (perhaps stupid) that very low frequency signals should benefit from a low impedance circuit.
Sub-bass frequencies <30Hz seems to exibit large amount of distortion with transformers, is the any benefit to raise a bit the current in order to increase the very slow signals fidelity ?
