Has anyone heard these? Just ordered one. We'll see. Single backplate and k67 design, can be interesting. If FR graph is right, should be great for flat circuits. Kind of mixture between k47 and k67. Dirt cheap as well.

That would be kinda interesting if the FR was correct on that graph. I am a bit skeptical, though thoroughly intrigued. It's cheap enough to warrant spending the money to find out, I suppose.

Speaking of flat-response 67-style capsules. I know 3u Audio makes one, but does anyone know of any others? I'm looking around for one at the moment.

Besides 3U's flat-version (which are absolutely great), there's ADK's GK67 and to a lesser-flat/less-peaky extent, there's the Adanced Audio's AK67, Microphone Parts' K67LE, and Peluso's CEK-367... Though I've only heard the 3U.

Usually if something looks too good to be true, it probably is...
I see it is a 'thin' capsule. (Usually capsules are thicker, two rows of mounting holes.)
I have a similar one here, and it sounds like nothing.
But maybe (I hope anyway!) these are better.

The picture below shows the single sided capsule I have here. It's crap.
If someone wants it, I can send it to you if you pay me the shipping costs...

My basic understanding is that 3u is the OEM of the ADK capsule. I know Chunger had a 35mm "bargain" 67 capsule he described as being good in a flat circuit, but he's out of stock. I'll probably just order one from 3u.

The capsule has arrived, and it's anything but flat. Seems like a very experimental thing. Weird through holes pattern in backplate.  Very strange proximity effect. Its almost as it boosts midrange (not bass) when you dive into it, and some 50cm away it becomes all top end.  It has smoothest 1k to 10k i have ever seen in oem capsule. No bumps in midrange typical for k67, almost straight line from 1k to 10k. But it acts weird when position is changed. Probably due to experimental backplate design. I think it's the same thing Ruud has. I guess it could be used for something...

Maybe i'll remove back diaphragm, or close holes, and use as some kind of omni, or something...

Just seems to me like they tried to make a capsule cheapest to produce, with least material, using what they already have. Is it cardioid? - yes, LDC? - yes, does it work? - yes, how does it sound? - well, it works.

Now that’s some interest to me, LDC omni, if for no other reason that it’s not common. Still kick myself for not picking up a couple Vertical Microphones The Space before they shut down, with its “LDO-1 large diaphragm true pressure omni capsule made in-house”.  Anyone know Kelly Dueck or anyone interested in making some-like capsules?
