Hi folks, my beloved PM3065 has quitted its duty yesterday. It is doing nothing anymore except a high frequent tone. It seems to me that some kind of security circuit is activated in the PSU. The manual says that switching off for 5 seconds will fix that, but it doesnt work.  :'(

What can I do? Any ideas?

Step one: get the service manual - https://elektrotanya.com/philips_pm3065_pm3067_oscilloscope_sm.pdf/download.html

Step two: flip to page 81 (board layout @ page 84, schematic @ page 85).

Step three: disconnect the main power cable (the multi-pin one, from connector X6003 on the power supply board)

Step four: see if the power supply works that way.

Thanks for your information and the service manual! 🖖
