I have about 200+ SOIC opamps that are mounted to DIP8 adapters.  Instead of manually cleaning the rosin flux off each adapter, I started looking at ultrasonic baths.  Cleaner should be a time save for future projects as well.

Naive question, but are SOIC opamps ok to use in ultrasonic baths?

Do I have to worry about what frequency the baths operate at?
What cleaning solution would be best for rosin flux?

Thanks!!!

Jason

They should be fine to clean in ultrasonic baths. If tiny-pitch BGA parts are fine, my guess is SOICs shouldn't have any issues.

If at all possible, you'll want a cleaner that also has a frequency sweep function (not just a fixed one).
