Anyone roll their own elements for a kiln or industrial oven?  There's some schweet DIY happening in that wierd corner of the world.
I've fixed some small curing ovens  with with $7 replacements from Chinazon (vs $750 from the manufacturer) but will be rolling my own for an older 7500 watt Blue M annealing oven .

Just had a thought; how about using heating elements as a load for testing power amps? According to my calculator, a 2KW heating element at 115V should have a resistance of about 7 ohms.

It is commonly done for testing high power amps, even better water heater elements in a bucket of water.
